Back day.

I can’t believe how far I have come when it comes to pull ups… this time last year I could barely do 10 assisted pull ups on a machine… today, I was able to bang out two sets of 8 UNASSISTED pull ups. BOOM, proud as heck… and that’s after doing HIIT. Pull downs, bent over rows, push up to planks, seated rows, pull downs… I also attempted to do some hanging leg raises… did 5, but it’s a start.

Our 1 year Anniversary off day…

Yesterday was an off day for us. After work on Tuesday, we normally work out together since I get off of work early, but we had plans to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary. I gave him a “paper” certificate to get a sports massage and his gift to me were printed “paper” tickets to Aziz Ansari after dinner at Romano’s Macaroni Grill down town SLC. Aziz was HILARIOUS. His opening act was pretty darn funny too. If you have an opportunity to, you MUST see this show… ok… that’s some random-ness…

This weekends gym sessions

Saturday, Chris and I did shoulders, my fav. I incorporated some HIIT with our regular routine to get my HR up and to get a sweat going. I did a lot of cross over mountain climbers (whatever they are called, lol) and some plank to push up minus the push ups.

Sunday we did bis and tris, more tris… still both are my second fav body parts to workout. Again I incorporated some HIIT. I’m def building up my indurance and not just my strength. I did some more core, v ups, plank to pushup minus the pushups. I made sure I did more concentrated movements, I made them count. I went more for the quality than quantity.

Today, monday I did legs at 6 am. My not so fav day… but I think I did pretty well. Again, I did some more HIIT and concentrated on my core. No pics from todays workout… it hard to get in the groove so early in the morning just before work… Maybe next time. 🙂
